nominated for the Arie Keppler Prize 2014
The inspiration for the design comes from two typical Zaanse typologies, the timber construction and circulation.The beauty of the inspiration was the combination of this old typology of the mills and the contemporary effect that DaF want to achieve.Working for this project , I realise the wooden emotion and the complexity of this kind of constructions.Wooden Details - become game of mind and richness of skills.The things that one Dutch Mill can teach you are so mamy starting of the logic of production and material economy and continoung to the poetic relationship with the landscape.
